I’m a mom of 2 boys, a Special Education teacher, and have been a Cold Cap Therapist Consultant for Capping Partners of America since 2021. I’ve trained many individuals and their loved ones prior to their chemotherapy treatments in that time. I’ve also gone to treatment centers to cap others in my area, so that I could help cap them myself.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in July of 2020, had a double mastectomy in August of 2020, and went through chemotherapy from September until December of 2020. I would have lost 100% of my hair, but was able to keep almost all of it due to capping with Penguin. Keeping my hair really helped because I didn’t want to feel sick and I didn’t want my kids or anyone else to view me as sick.
This experience inspired me to become a cold cap therapist since I wanted to help others going through what I had just gone through and could relate to. It feels so good to help others and keep them positive and hopeful!
I am there if a client needs any support or guidance prior to their chemotherapy or any time throughout this process. Ultimately, I strive to make my clients feel comfortable and secure with the entire cold capping process, knowing each and every step.
