Michelle Willison
Michelle was diagnosed with cancer in December 2023 and began treatment the following month. From the start, she knew she wanted to do everything possible to preserve her hair. While she couldn’t control the diagnosis, she could control how she faced it. For Michelle, looking like herself was an important part of maintaining a sense of normalcy and strength throughout treatment.
Cold capping wasn’t easy—nothing about cancer is—but she knew she would never regret trying. However, she would absolutely regret not trying. Despite the challenges, she embraced the process with determination and resilience.
While cancer is undeniably difficult, Michelle found an unexpected silver lining in her journey. She was deeply moved by the support of her incredible care team, family, and friends. Through it all, she discovered a renewed sense of strength and a powerful affirmation: she is capable of overcoming even the toughest obstacles.

I cannot say enough good things about Capping Partners of America.
My doctor told me about Penguin Cold Caps and, once I’d signed up with Penguin, they mentioned Capping Partners of America as a great option to help train me in how to properly use the caps for the best success. I connected with Geralyn at Capping Partners of America. She was supportive, understanding and was such a wonderful guide at a time when I felt overwhelmed and nervous about all the details coming at me about cancer and chemo. It meant so much to me.
I signed up for the White Glove option and I’m so glad I did! I was already managing so much, with the cancer diagnosis and details of the chemo process, that it felt so good to just hand this over to my capper and let her take care of me. It was such a great decision. I felt so loved and so cared for! Geralyn connected me with Michelle, the capper in my area, and they took care of everything! The caps and cooler and supplies were sent directly to Michelle. She got the dry ice and the caps ready and met me at the infusion center for my first chemo treatment. It was so amazing to walk in a see her there waiting for me, with a big smile and a warm hug! I felt so loved and so cared for! It was one of the best moments of my entire cancer experience.
Michelle came into the infusion room with me, and got me settled in a chair, snuggled me up under a blanket and explained how it would work. I felt like a princess! She put the cap on me and adjusted it so it fit just right. She was there for my entire treatment. Is it weird to say that we had a great time? It really was a lot of fun. I had a new friend! A new friend who had been through all of this, who understood and who was next to me as I went through it. I can’t thank Michelle and Cappers of America enough for taking such amazing care of me!

“I cannot say enough good things about Michelle!!! She made my first chemo treatment actually fun! Yep, we had fun! She is bright and warm, and incredibly helpful and so knowledgeable and supportive. She is the light of this experience for me and I am so so grateful that you paired her with me for capping. Thank you! Michelle was so attentive the whole day… putting on the caps, making sure they fit just right, changing them out for new ones, and always precisely on time. I was amazed that, even at the end of a long day, she was as focused on the timing, the changing and fitting of the caps as she was at the beginning of the day. Thank you, thank you for connecting me with Michelle! ”
